This study aims to analyze the efficiency and competitiveness of products in the iron and steel casting industry in Indonesia. Secondary data used from Badan Pusat Statistik and Un Comtrade in 2000-2020. Quantitative analysis techniques are used to measure product efficiency and competitiveness, and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis methods are used to evaluate the short and long term rela- tionship between the two. The results show variations in efficiency over the period of 9 years with above-average efficiency levels and 12 years with below-average efficiency levels, indicating that the iron and steel casting industry has not yet achieved the expected level of efficiency. CMS calculations show that Indonesian cast iron and steel products are more in demand in Singapore than in Thailand and Malaysia. However, this product has no comparative advantage based on RCA cal- culations. Long-term VECM estimates show efficiency has a positive and signifi- cant effect on the competitiveness of the iron and steel casting industry, confirming that increased production efficiency can increase competitiveness in the market. This shows that the more efficient the production process in the industry, the more competitive it will be in the market.
