Toddlerhood is a critical period for optimizing brain growth and development. One of the factors that must be considered in infancy is eating behavior which can be avoided by applying feeding rules. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mother's knowledge and the application of feeding rules to the nutritional status of toddlers 6-24 months in the working area of the Sungai Keli Public Health Center, South Pemulutan District. This study used a cross sectional study design with a purposive sampling technique. The sample obtained was 64 respondents who had children (6-24 months) in the working area of the Sungai Keli Public Health Center, South Pemulutan District. Data collection through interviews with a questionnaire instrument on the knowledge and application of mothers regarding feeding rules was analyzed univariately and bivariately. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between knowledge related to feeding rules (p-value = 0.018) and implementation related to feeding rules (p-value = 0.010) with the nutritional status of toddlers (6-24 months). The results of this analysis are expected that health workers will increase mothers' knowledge by providing counseling materials about feeding rules and mothers can also find information about feeding rules through social media managed by trusted sources such as nutritionists or doctors.
