GAMBARAN GAYA PENGASUHAN DAN POLA ASUH PEMBERIAN MAKAN PADA BALITA STUNTING DAN NON STUNTING DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TAMAN BACAAN KOTA PALEMBANG
Stunting is chronic malnutrition over a long period of time caused by an is imbalance between the intake eaten and the nutritional needs. Factors that can cause stunted children are family and household factors which include poor parenting from mothers family members. This study aims to determine the or description of parenting styles and parenting patterns of of feeding, This study uses a qualitative method with a case study research design. Data collection techniques a using in-depth interviews and observations conducted on 18 informants consisting of D stunted toddlers raised by mothers, 4 stunted toddlers raised by family members, 4 non-stunted toddlers raised by mothers, 4 non-stunted toddlers raised by family members, 1 Nutrition Officer and 1 Posyandu cadre. The results of this study found that there were 2 mothers or family members who applied a permissive parenting style to stunting toddlers. The diet of stunting toddlers is to mostly not given vegetables and fruit and only consumes 2 types of food, namely staple foods and animal side dishes. Informants who have stunted toddlers do not wash their hands before serving and feeding children. How to feed a stunted a toddler is left to eat alone (75%). It is expected that mothers or family members of toddlers apply a democratic parenting style, namely a parenting style that provides a guidance to children and provides diverse food consisting of staple foods, animals, vegetables, vegetables and local fruit or modified fruit to children.
