PENGARUH SISTEM OLAH TANAH PADA KATEGORI RATOON YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP BEBERAPA SIFAT FISIK TANAH DI PT. PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA VII UNIT CINTA MANIS
The tillage system is a part of land preparation techniques with the aim of providing optimal growing conditions for the seeds to be planted. The use of minimum and maximum tillage can affect the physical condition of the soil. What can cause soil damage is maximum tillage. This research was conducted continuously from December 2022 to March 2023 at the Soil Department Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research used a 2 factor randomized block design with 3 replications so that the total number of samples was 18 samples. Disturbed soil samples were taken by purposive sampling by means of drilling and intact soil samples were taken using a sample ring with a depth of 0 - 30 cm. The tillage systems used were the maximum tillage system and the minimum tillage system in each category ratoon 1, 2 and 3. The results of this study indicate that the tillage system in different ratoon categories does not have a significant effect on bulk density and total pore space but does have a significant effect on water content. The interaction of tillage systems in the ratoon category has a significant effect on organic matter. The results of this study are suggested to carry out the addition of organic matter in each tillage to maintain soil fertility and productivity.
