HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DAN KERAGAMAN PANGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PERUMNAS
Stunting is a form of malnutrition related to less than optimal nutritional adequacy from the past. Stunting is short or inappropriate height or shorter than children of their age. Toddlers are an age that has a risk of nutritional problems. For this reason, mothers play an important role in meeting the nutritional intake of toddlers. Mothers who have good knowledge of balanced nutrition will pay attention to nutritional intake in toddlers. A variety of foods can meet the nutritional intake of toddlers.This study aims to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge and food diversity with the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Perumnas Health Center. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross sectional method, which was carried out in the working area of the Perumnas Health Center. The sample in this study were toddlers aged 6-59 months in the Working Area of the Perumnas Public Health Center, totaling 82 respondents. Sampling in this study was carried out using the Puposive Sampling technique. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using chi square test. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge and the incidence of stunting (p-value : 0.000) and there is a relationship between dietary diversity and the incidence of stunting (p-value : 0.007). The conclusion of this study is that mother's knowledge and food diversity have a significant relationship to the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Perumnas Health Center. Therefore, parents must pay attention to the quality and quantity of food in children. Keywords : Stunting, Food Diversity, Mother's Knowledge
