ANALISIS HUBUNGAN POLA MAKAN BERISIKO TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KADAR GULA DARAH PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE DUA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS MAKRAYU KOTA PALEMBANG
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease in the form of a collection of symptoms due to an increase in the amount of sugar in the blood (hyperglycemia) caused by abnormalities in insulin secretion. Hyperglycemia causes blood sugar to accumulate in the blood so that it fails to enter the cells. DM risk factors are divided into risk factors but can be changed by humans, in this case it can be in the form of diet, daily habits such as eating, resting patterns, and activity patterns. The second factor is a risk factor but cannot be changed, such as age, sex and factors of patients with family backgrounds with diabetes. DM sufferers in Indonesia according to Basic Health Research data (Riskesdas) in 2018 the incidence of DM in 2007 to 2018 increased from 5.7% to 8.5% of the total population of Indonesia of 250 million. It is also known that the number of people with Diabetes Mellitus at the Makrayu Health Center is 630, which is the highest number of cases in Palembang City. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants that affect a risky diet to increase blood sugar levels in people with Diabetes Mellitus Type II in the Work Area of the Makrayu Health Center, Palembang City. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were people with Type II Diabetes Mellitus in the Work Area of the Makrayu Health Center, Palembang City. The sample in this study were 72 people with Type II Diabetes Mellitus who visited the Makrayu Health Center. Bivariate analysis using Chi-square test and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression test predictive factor models. The results of the bivariate analysis in this study showed a significant relationship between a risky diet (0.010), age (0.027), gender (0.000), education (0.001), physical activity (0.000), and a history of DM in the family (0.000) with increased levels. blood sugar in people with Type II Diabetes Mellitus in the Work Area of the Makrayu Health Center, Palembang City. And based on the results of multivariate analysis, it was found that there was a significant relationship, namely the risk diet variable (0.025) and age (0.024) and the risk diet variable with a PR value = 0.162 (95% CI 0.033 - 0.796), which means that reducing risky eating patterns can reduce the incidence. an increase in blood sugar levels is at risk of 0.162 times. Therefore it is necessary to make efforts to minimize the consumption of risky foods and get used to healthy living habits.
