FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA DI PUSKESMAS KTM SUNGAI RAMBUTAN KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
According to the World Health Organization Global Nutrition Targets 2025 in research, stunting is considered an irreversible growth disorder which is largely affected by inadequate nutritional intake and repeated infections during the first 1000 days of life. In 2019 the stunting rate in Indonesia has decreased to 27,6% but still does not meet the limit set by WHO, which is 20%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the incidence of stunting. This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study were some toddlers aged 24-59 months in the working area of the KTM Sungai Rambutan Community Health Center, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, which were selected based on the purposive sampling method which amounted to 81 respondents under five. In this sample, 30 toddlers were taken from Tanjung Pule village, 30 toddlers from KTM Sungai Rambutan village and 21 toddlers from Pulau Kabal village. There are 28.4% of toddlers who are stunted, 65.4% of toddlers who don't get MP-ASI properly, 70.4% of toddlers who don't get exclusive breastfeeding, 46.9% of toddlers who don't have clean water, 55.6% of toddlers who have poor environmental sanitation and 61.7% of children under five who have a low economy. There are five variables related to the incidence of stunting, namely history of complementary feeding (p-value = 0,021), history of exclusive breastfeeding (p-value = 0,004), the availability of clean water (p-value = 0,005). home environmental sanitation (p-value = 0,005), and family economic level ( p- value = 0,007). The factor that becomes dominant is the factor of exclusive breastfeeding so that toddlers 24-59 months with a history of non-exclusive breastfeeding have an 86 times chance of experiencing stunting compared to toddlers 24-59 months who have a history of exclusive breastfeeding after being controlled by variables history of complementary feeding, home environment sanitation variables, clean water availability variables, and family economic level variables. It is hoped that the puskesmas will be assisted by posyandu cadres through counseling and health promotion aimed at mothers under five to improve parenting for toddlers in providing exclusive breastfeeding and MP- ASI as well as maintaining good environmental sanitation around the house.
