The aims of this research are 1) to identify the characteristics of rice farmers on peatland utilization. (2) Analyzing the behavior of peatland rice farmers (3) Analyzing the survival strategies of peatland rice farmers. (4) Analyzing the relationship between farmer characteristics and the behavior of rice farmers and the survival strategies of peatland rice farmers. This research was conducted in Mulyaguna Village, Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in January. The determination of the research location was carried out purposively. The large population of rice farmers in the utilization of peat land in Mulyaguna Village who joined or received assistance from the paddy field printing program were as many as 120 farmers. The research method used was a survey method and a sampling method using Simple Random Sampling with a sample size of 32 peatland rice farmers. The data obtained in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the behavior of peatland rice farmers was classified as high criteria, the survival strategies of peatland rice farmers were classified as moderate and farmers carried out more active strategies on their survival strategies, and the characteristics of farmers were significantly related to age, formal education, and the number of dependents but not There is a relationship between the characteristics of farmers and the experience of farming.
