Farmers in the village of Tanjung Payang still use manual methods in carrying out their work. In the obesevariate results it is known that there are still rice farmers who have awkward body postures, therefore it is necessary to carry out an ergonomic risk assessment for rice farmers. The research design in this study was descriptive qualitative using interview and observation techniques to collect data from informants. The risk analysis method used is the Baseline Risk Identification of Ergonomics Factors (BRIEF) method. The results of calculating the ergonomic risk level using the BRIEF method on 2 respondents in the rice harvesting section obtained scores of 2.66 and 2.33 so they are at a moderate ergonomic risk level. The results of calculating the ergonomic risk level using the BRIEF method for 1 respondent in the rice transportation section obtained a score of 3.33 with a high ergonomic risk level. The results of calculating the ergonomic risk level using the BRIEF method for 1 respondent in the rice collection section obtained a score of 2.11 with a moderate ergonomic risk level. The results of calculating the ergonomic risk level using the BRIEF method for 2 respondents in the rice threshing section obtained a score of 2.44 and 2.66 with a moderate ergonomic risk level. It is suggested to rice farmers to stretch beforehand and reduce the use of manual labor during the work process.
