The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze the household ownership of purun craftsmen based on local potential in the village of Menang Raya, (2) to analyze the livelihood strategies carried out by households of purun craftsmen in Menang Raya Village, and (3) to analyze the relationship between ownership of livelihood capital and the form of livelihood strategies carried out by households of purun craftsmen in Menang Raya Village. This research was conducted in Menang Raya Village, Pedamaran District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in February 2023. The location for the research was determined purposively. The research method used is survey method. The sampling method in this study used a purposive sampling method, namely as many as 33 people who worked as purun craftsmen taking into account predetermined criteria. The data obtained in this study are in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data processing method using descriptive analysis, Likert scale, and Spearman's rank correlation analysis. The results showed that the average household of purun craftsmen had high physical and social capital. Meanwhile, the level of human capital and financial capital of household purun craftsmen is classified as medium and the level of natural capital is low. The livelihood strategy that is mostly used by households of purun craftsmen is the double livelihood strategy. The livelihood capital that has a relationship with the livelihood engineering strategy is social capital, while that has a relationship with the multiple livelihood pattern strategy is human capital, physical capital, and financial capital, and that has a relationship with the spatial engineering strategy (migration) is human capital, natural capital, physical capital, and social capital.
