Diarrhea is one of the ten most common diseases in the working area of the Indralaya Health Center. The main cause of diarrhea is a virus or bacterial infection in the large intestine. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between household sanitation factors and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the working area of the Indralaya Health Center, Ogan Ilir District. This quantitative research uses a cross-sectional design and purposive random sampling technique. The number of samples was 50 respondents. Data analysis used the SPSS program. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 32 respondents (62.0%) had diarrhea. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the mother's habit of washing hands with soap (p-value 0.000), the condition of the family latrine (p-value 0.007), the condition of the sewerage (p-value 0.042), and the condition of the trash can (p- value 0.001) with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the working area of the Indralaya Health Center. There is no relationship between the age of the toddler (p-value 0.717), the sex of the toddler (p-value 0.689), and household clean water supply (p-value 0. 717) with the incidence of diarrhea under five in the working area of the Indralaya Health Center. It can be concluded that household sanitation factors and mother's hand washing behavior have a relationship to the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. The puskesmas is expected to be able to provide counseling to the community, especially mothers with toddlers, about diarrhea and its prevention. The community is also expected to get used to clean and healthy living habits starting from the family circle, such as the habit of washing hands with soap and maintaining sanitation by cleaning them regularly.
