HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN PERILAKU PERSONAL HYGIENE GENITALIA PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMAN 1 INDRALAYA UTARA
Based on WHO data, reproductive health problems in women have reached 33% of the total disease burden experienced by women worldwide. Based on data from the 2010 adolescent reproductive health survei (SKRR), it shows that most problems with genital hygiene are experienced by women with an age range of 15-24 years and now problems with genital hygiene continue to increase to 75% in 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with personal genital hygiene behavior in females adolescents. This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study were some teenage females from SMAN 1 Indralaya Utara who were selected based on the 2 proportion difference hypothesis test using a purposive sampling technique. There are 4 variables related to personal genital hygiene behavior, namely knowledge (p-value=0.000), attitude (p-value=0.001), family support (p-value=0.001), availability of clean water (p-value=0.000). There are 2 variables that are not related to personal genital hygiene behavior, namely the exposure variable to information sources (p-value = 1.000) and the role of health workers (p-value = 1.000). Teenage females who have good knowledge have 0.096 times the chance and young women who have a positive attitude have 0.190 times the chance to behave well. Knowledge and attitude variables are related to good personal genital hygiene behavior after controlling for exposure to information sources, the role of health workers, family support, and the availability of clean water, which are confounding variables. It is hoped that the school will increase the provision of information and counseling related to personal genital hygiene and complete facilities and infrastructure so that they can support good personal genital hygiene behavior.
