Pneumonia is an acute infection of the lower respiratory tract, where the alveolus become inflamed with fluid accumulation caused by infection due to bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites.This study aim to analyze the relationship between DPT-HB-Hib immunization status and pneumonia incidence among toddlers in the work area of Panjang Health Center in Bandar Lampung City. This research is a quantitative study using a case control design. The sample in this study were parents who had toddlers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 110 respondents, consisting of 55 cases and 55 controls. The data used are primary data obtained from direct interviews and questionnaires, and secondary data. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling. Data were analyzed univariately, bivariately, and multivariately. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a relationship between DPT-HB-Hib immunization status (p-value 0,025) and nutritional status (p-value 0,009) with pneumonia incidence among toddlers. Meanwhile, the variables of age of toddlers, exclusive breastfeeding, provide vitamin A, smoking habits of family members, family income, and mother's education level had no relationship with pneumonia incidence among toddlers. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between DPT-HB-Hib immunization status and pneumonia incidence among toddlers (p-value 0,040) after being controlled by provide vitamin A variables. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between DPT-HB-Hib immunization status and the incidence of pneumonia among toddlers in the work area of Panjang Health Center in Bandar Lampung City. It is expected for parents who have toddlers to complete routine and age-appropriate immunizations, meet food intake, and give vitamin A to toddlers every February and August.
