Environments with poor sanitation are closely related to Personal Hygiene. Kelurahan 13- 14Ulu, Sebrang Ulu II District, Palembang City is an area with poor sanitation conditions and poor personal hygiene behavior. This study aims to determine and analyze the relationship between sanitation and personal hygiene behavior of housewives in the settlement of Kelurahan13-14Ulu, Sebrang Ulu II District, Palembang City. This study is a quantitative research with an analytical observation research design with a cross secsional approach, Using a questionnaire guided by the EHRA questionnaire, the population in this study is housewives The sample of this study amounted to 83 respondents The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling. Showed that of the 83 respondents who behaved in poor personal hygiene, 80.7% while 19.3% were good. It was found that the results of environmental sanitation risks in Kelurahan 13 and 14 Ulu, Sebrang Ulu II District, Palembang City in 2023 showed that Kelurahan 13 Ulu had an IRKL value of 5 in the high category and Kelurahan 14 Ulu of 4 with a medium category The conclusion of this study is the mother's lack of knowledge about personal hygiene behavior and lack of awareness about the importance of personal hygiene Keywords : Personal Hygiene Behavior, Sanitation, Knowledge Literature : 57 ( 2013–2022). Variables related to knowledge personal hygiene behavior (P = 0.000) and variables not related to personal hygiene behavior were Age (P = 0.1000), Education (P = 0.103), Income (P = 0.350), Sanitary Conditions (0.088)
