Retrictiveness of up to Standard clean water supllying needing a precise technologi utilize which adapted for environmental situation to process the water. This technologi ought appertain cheap, easy, and the material are available in location. The water treatment is the public Utilities to get facility irrigate ready rot use that ready to drink, healthy, and clean, absolutely enable many technology to be applied for the processing of basic water from very simple technology until modem technology. This technology importance and very very expected especially for the regioon that unreacheable “Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM)”. Perumahan Kencana Damai, Kenten Sukamaju, Palembang have a water treatment which do not depend on the water supplying by local PDAM. The water treatment at Perumahan Kencana Damai, Kenten Sukamaju, Palembang can be executed after getting the source of clear basic water. Basic water at Perumahan Kencana Damai, Kenten Sukamaju, Palembang included peat water because the acidity level under the normal pH (pH = 7). Peat water represent surface water from marsh and land have peat with brown colour characteristic, high acidity level, and high an organic substance. In this research made a simple water treatment with 2 different filter composition and the same thickness that is 24 cm. first experiment use comparison 1:4:1 where the tickness of gravel 4 cm, sand 16 cm, and gravel 4 cm. Second experiment use comparison 1:1:1 where the thickness of gravel 8 cm, sand 8 cm and gravel 8 cm. The result of the research indicate that the simple water treatment come near the result of PAM Tirta Damai Perumahan Kencana Damai. The first and the second experiment showing a little difference of the quality, quality of the first experiment is competent to use, because it consist a little bit ammonia and the pH higher than the second experiment. Thereby the simple water treatment is competent to use, especially the first experiment. Highly expected with existence of this appliance, the society that unreacheable Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM)” Service can get clean water easily and cheap, so it can increase health and prosperity society
