Ogan Ilir district has a large agricultural sector especially it has a vast rice fields that could produce rice that much. Transportation problems in the distribution of rice from farmers to consumers is transport chain can be spending more money which can be harmful. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of rice and the transportation distribution of rice with other modes of transport in Ogan Ilir. Beside analyzing to develop information systems based multimoda transport in the sale of rice to the region and to be transparent in order to prevent firaud from certain parties (middlemen) who wants to take advantage in order to improve efficiency in its distribution From the results of this study are expected to increase the profits of farmers that do not depend anymore on the middlemen as well as in the fulfillment of the supply of rice to the region can be more efficient in transport modes and transportation.
