PENGARUH PERSENTASE TUTUPAN VEGETASI RUMPUT DAN INTENSITAS HUJAN TERHADAP KOEFISIEN ALIRAN PERMUKAAN (C)
Surface flow coefficient (C) is defined as the ratio between the amount of surface flow to intensity of the rain. Coefficient values indicate the size of the rainwater experiencing surface flow. Increasing intensity of rainfall coupled with the progress of development impact on land use changes that became difficult to control. Thus, natural resources disrupted due to infiltration becomes small while the water flow surface becomes large. In this study will be discussed on the influence of percentage vegetation cover of grass and rain intensity on the surface flow coefficient (C). This study aims to enrich the data surface flow coefficient (C) for each the percentage cover, because in the real conditions a pieces of land was not always covered 100%. The methodology of this study is to conduct testing in the laboratory using advanced hydrology system, which the output of this tool will be the volume of surface flow and rain precipitation which will then be analyzed using formulas approaches existing hydrology and hydraulics. The analysis result of land cover influence percentage and rainfall intensity to surface flow coefficient (C) on the rain intensity of 30 mm/hour with an regular pattern of grass vegetation composition is between 0,3923 to 0,4451 while complied irregular pattern is between 0,3683 to 0,4391. In the rain intensity of 40 mm/hour with an regular pattern of grass vegetation composition is between 0,4139 to 0,4634 while complied irregular pattern is between 0,4076 to 0,4526. In the rain intensity of 50 mm/hour with an regular pattern of grass vegetation composition is between 0,4563 to 0,4916 while complied irregular pattern is between 0,4383 to 0,4743.
