ANALISIS KERAGAMAN GENETIK MANGROVE ASAL PULAU PAYUNG, SUMATERA SELATAN DAN SEKITARNYA BERBASIS PENANDA MOLEKULER SSR (SIMPLE SEQUENCE REPEAT)
The vegetation that dominates Payung Island is the mangrove forest, because it is located at the mouth of the Musi River, where fresh water and sea water meet, so the surrounding salinity is quite high, where the mangrove forest is still well preserved. At the Payung Island location there are several types of mangroves including R.apiculata, Avicenia alba, A.marina, A.officinalis and K.candel, which in the IUCN category these five mangroves fall into the LC (Least Concern) category. The aim of this study was to analyze the genetic diversity and kinship relationships of R.apiculata, A.alba, A.marina, A.officinalis and K.candel mangrove species using SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) markers. Matrix correlation value r (accuracy level of grouping) produced in this study = 0.934; Mantel t-test t = 19.883 and for random probability Z = 1000. Gene Diversity values obtained ranged from 0.88 to 0.70 with an average = 0.81 and PIC (Polymorphic Information Content) values ranged from 0.87 to 0.67. From the values generated in this study, the SSR markers proved to be quite informative and appropriate.
