OPTIMASI SKEMA PEMBIAYAAN LAYANAN INTERNET NIRKABEL UNTUK JARINGAN MULTIPEL QUALITY OF SERVICE DENGAN ATRIBUT BANDWIDTH, END-TO-END DELAY, DAN BIT ERROR RATE (BER)
This research was conducted to formulate a wireless internet service financing scheme model using three Quality of Service (QoS) attributes, namely bandwidth, end-to-end delay, and Bit Error Rate (BER). Bandwidth is the value of data transfer which is calculated in bits per second (bps). The time it takes for a bit to be transmitted across the network from source to destination is called the end-to-end delay. BER is used to calculate the number of error numbers from a data transmission between two computer systems in a network in a given bandwidth. Research data was obtained from one of the local servers in Palembang City (Sriwijaya Polytechnic) which includes inbound and outbound traffic data during peak hours and off-peak hours. Calculations in this study were carried out using LINGO 13.0 software. The resulting solutions are then analyzed in comparison to obtain the optimal solution in maximizing the total cost for internet services based on the three QoS attributes. Based on the results of research on the original model and the modified model, the Internet Service Provider (ISP) will obtain optimal results if it increases, and increases dan decreases the QoS (x) value with the optimal cost obtained, which is 50508.8 rupiah.
