Padina sp is spread abundantly throughout Indonesian waters, including on Pahawang Island, Pahawang Island is located in Marga Punduh District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province which is included in the small islands in the Lampung Bay area. Until now the utilization of itself has been constrained because its processing research has not been developed much. Padina sp seaweed contains various metabolite compounds that have potential antioxidants. The study aimed to determine the chemical compounds that function as antioxidants from brown seaweed Padina sp using the purification method. The result showed the IC50 value of methanol extract (60,43 ppm), the n-hexane extract was (97617,75 ppm), and the ethyl acetate extract value was (2864,85 ppm). While the result of the GC-MS analysis of compounds identified as antioxidants are Ethyl iso-allocholate and 7,8-epoxylanostan-11-ol-3-axetoxy.
