UJI EFEK ANTIDIABETES FRAKSI ETIL ASETAT DAUN KENCANA UNGU (Ruellia tuberosa L.) PADA TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR YANG DIINDUKSI ALOKSAN
Kencana Ungu (Ruellia tuberosa L.) leaves are known to contain secondary metabolites of flavonoids which have antidiabetic activity. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of reducing blood glucose levels of the ethyl acetate fraction of kencana ungu leaves. This study was divided into 6 groups, namely the normal group (0.5% Na-CMC suspension), positive control (1 IU/kgBB insulin), negative control (0.5% Na-CMC suspension) and treatment of the ethyl acetate fraction of kencana ungu leaves. with variations in doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg BW. Alloxan induced rats with a dose of 125 mg/kg BW until blood glucose ≥ 126 mg/dL, ethyl acetate fraction of kencana ungu leaves was given for 14 days. The results showed that the percentage reduction in blood glucose levels of the ethyl acetate fraction of kencana ungu leaves at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/KgBW was significantly different from the negative control (p0.05) while the doses of 50 and 100 mg/kgBW differed significantly from insulin (p
