ANALISIS KANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT Cd DAN Zn DI SEDIMEN MUARA SUNGAI MUSI, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, SUMATRA SELATAN
The Musi River estuary is one of several river mouths that empties into the East Coast of Banyuasin, South Sumatra. The Musi River estuary accommodates various components of pollutant that enter through the river flow. The purpose of this study was to analyze and study the quality of the waters of the Musi River estuary based on the concentration of heavy metals Cd and Zn in sediments and to determine the type or type of sediment texture in the waters of the Musi River Muara , Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. This research was conducted in December 2022, sampling was carried out at five station points using purposive sampling. Heavy metal concentrations were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) referring to SNI No. 8910. 2021. The results of the study showed that the concentration of heavy metals in the sediments of the Musi River Estuary ranged from 53,67 – 88,57 mg/kg Zn and significant (undetectable) Cd. The quality of the waters in the Musi River estuary is still relatively good for the life of marine biota. The types of sediment texture found in the Musi River Estuary are sandy loam and clay.
