UJI AKTIVITAS SENYAWA ANTIFOULING DARI FRAKSI DAUN NYPA FRUTICANS SEBAGAI ANTIFOULING ALAMI DI DERMAGA SUNGSANG, SUMATERA SELATAN
Biofouling is an organism that sticks to submerged substrates in aquatic ecosystems such as docks and ship hulls that are microfouling or macrofouling. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of Nypa fruticans leaf extract to paint as a natural antifouling on the inhibition of macrofouling attachment. This study used a randomized group factorial design (RAKF) using 2 plates, namely steel plates and wood plates as factor A. 4 treatments (control, n-hexane solvent, ethyl acetate solvent and water methanol solvent) plus a concentration of 1250 ppm as factor B. In the extraction stage using the maceration method. The fractionation stage uses n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water methanol solvent fractions. At the stage of testing the content of metabolite compounds using phytochemical screening methods. Presentation of data in this study using ANOVA analysis method. The study found that on each steel and wood plate coated with paint plus leaf fraction with a concentration of 1250 ppm, no macrofouling was found. However, on the control wooden plate, the attachment of macrofouling organisms, namely Nerita violacea, was found.
