Environmental health is one of the main factors to support quality human growth and development. Each region has a different level of environmental health. Provinces in Indonesia also have different environmental health conditions when viewed from their environmental health indicators. Inequality and inequality still exist in various provinces. Grouping of Provinces based on the state of environmental health can be done by cluster analysis. The purpose of this study is to compare the agglomerative hierarchy cluster method in grouping provinces in Indonesia and find out the characteristics of each province between clusters in terms of environmental health indicators. Agglomerative hierarchy methods used include Single Linkage, Complete Linkage, Average Linkage, Centroid and Ward's methods. Based on the results of Single Linkage research, Complete Linkage, Centroid, and Ward's form 2 clusters while Average Linkage forms 3 clusters. The determination of the best method is done by looking at the smallest standard deviation ratio value. Based on the results of research from the five agglomerative methods used, Centroid is the best method because it produces the smallest standard deviation ratio value of 0.2555. The Centroid method produces 2 clusters where cluster 1 consists of 33 provinces with high environmental health characteristics and cluster 2 consists of 1 province, namely Papua with a low level of environmental health. Papua Province has a low average score on each environmental health indicator, especially on the indicator of households that have access to proper sanitation (X4), the percentage of villages implementing STBM (X5) and the percentage of districts / cities implementing the GERMAS policy (X11).
