KOMPARASI PENYERAPAN TENAGA KERJA WANITA DI SUMATERA UTARA DAN SUMATERA SELATAN.
Women's limitations in the economy are due to discrimination in status and employment formalities. The study covered the scope of 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatra and 33 regencies/cities in North Sumatra Province with a period of 2015-2020. using quantitative data obtained through the Central Statistics Agency of South Sumatra and North Sumatra. This research data analysis method is a quantitative analysis method, an analysis technique that can be used to estimate parameters and use combined panel data analysis between cross-section data and time series data. The results showed that (1) MSEs in the two provinces had insignificant effects but had different relationships. In South Sumatra, MSEs have a negative relationship, while in North Sumatra, the relationship between MSEs and female labor absorption is positive. (2) GRDP in North Sumatra and South Sumatra provinces has a positive influence on the absorption of female labor but the static relationship is different, namely significant in South Sumatra province while in North Sumatra it is not significant. (3) RLS in North Sumatra and South Sumatra provinces has a negative influence but in South Sumatra has an insignificant influence but has a significant influence on North Sumatra.
