PENGARUH PERBEDAAN BAGIAN ASAL FRAGMEN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN KARANG Acropora sp. DENGAN METODE TRANSPLANTASI RANGKA SPIDER DI TAMAN NASIONAL LAUT KEPULAUAN SERIBU
The Acroporidae family is a genus of hard corals (Scleractinia) which is a common species found in Indonesia.Coral transplantation is one of the solutions to reduce the decline in the percentage of coral cover in Indonesia which continues to decline from year to year. Data collection was carried out from August 2022 to January 2023 on Pulau Panjang Besar, Seribu Islands Marine National Park. The transplanted samples were Acropora palifera, Acropora formosa, and Acropora carduus. Data collected during the study included water parameters, length and width of coral grafts at the beginning of each month. Based on research results, growthcoral type Acropora sp. transplanted using the spider frame method is quite good because the average growth increases> 0.8 cm per month. The origin of the fragments has an effect on coral growth. In this study, the most optimal part of the fragment for the transplantation process was the base, and the coral species that had the most optimal growth was Acropora carduus.
