DESIGN OF THE ATWOOD AIRCRAFT PRACTICUM TOOL USING INFRARED SENSOR BASED WIFI MICROCONTROLLER NODEMCUESP8266 By: YUSNITA PUSPITA SARI NIM.08021381924041 ABSTRACT Generally, Atwood aircraft practicum data collection is still manual so that the data obtained has relatively low accuracy and for processing measurement data is also still manual so it takes a long time. Therefore, in this research, the development of Atwood aircraft practicum tools using infrared sensors and data will be directly sent to spreadsheets using the NodeMCU ESP8266 WiFi microcontroller. The data is processed to find the value of gravitational acceleration. The hardware used is the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller, infrared sensor, I2C 16X2 LCD. For software used are arduino Ideas and spreadsheets. The tool that has been designed is tested using 5 types of load masses from 5 gr, 10 gr, 15 gr, 20 gr, and 25 gr with a distance of 0.4 m. Based on Atwood aircraft load time data obtained from experiments, the practicum tool developed has excellent accuracy with an error of 3.048%, accuracy of 93.977%, precision of 97.4769%. The value of gravitational acceleration obtained from the measurement of the Atwood plane is the smallest value of 9,5388 m/s2 and the largest value is 10,4214 m/s2.
