PENERAPAN AGGLOMERATIVE HIERARCHICAL CLUSTERING PADA PENGELOMPOKKAN KABUPATEN/KOTA DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN BERDASARKAN PENYEBARAN PENYAKIT MENULAR
South Sumatra Province is one of the provinces that has relatively high cases of infectious disease spread in its various regions. This study aims to group districts/cities in South Sumatra Province based on the distribution of infectious disease types. The data analyzed was obtained from the South Sumatra health profile in 2021. The method used is Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) with the Euclidean distance measurement method. The types of infectious diseases studied were tuberculosis, malaria, pneumonia/ISPA, diarrhea, dengue fever, HIV/AIDS, and Covid-19. The results showed that the districts/cities formed based on the results of the average linkage method had 3 groups. The first group consisting of 15 districts/cities is characterized by the highest average number of malaria cases compared to other groups, reaching 530 cases. Two cities in South Sumatra, Pagar Alam and Palembang, each form their own group. The city of Pagar Alam is characterized by a group with a low spread of infectious diseases, even zero cases of infectious diseases. The third group, which only includes Palembang City, is characterized by having several infectious diseases with a very high average number of cases, far from the number of cases in other groups. It is expected that the government or parties related to health programs to focus on efforts to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in areas that have a low incidence of infectious diseases.
