SIMULASI OPTIMASI DAYA TERMAL DAN UKURAN TERAS PADA REAKTOR CEPAT BERPENDINGIN KARBONDIOKSIDA SUPERKRITIS (S-CO2)
This research study of the optimation of thermal power and core size in a GFR type reactor with natural metallic uranium fuel (U-10%wt Zr), supercritical carbon dioxide (S-CO2) as a coolant, and cladding made of stainless steel 316 with a thermal power of 500 MWt. This research uses a modified CANDLE burnup strategy where the reactor core is divided into 10 regions radial with the same volume. The process of calculations diffusion and burnup is carried out using the SRAC JENDL-4.0 program with the PIJ and CITATION modules. Optimation results show that a reactor with an active core height of 150 cm can use fuel with a volume fraction variation of 60%, 62.5% and 65%. The design can be operated for 15 years without refueling.
