PROFIL METABOLIT DARI KROKOT SPESIES Portulaca oleracea L. DAN Portulaca grandiflora Hook.
Herbal medicines are described as products derived from plants with pharmacological effects. Purslane is one of the plants that has good properties for health. Purslane has many species including Portulaca oleracea L. and Portulaca grandiflora Hook. This study aims to determine the abundance of metabolites, dominant compounds and bioactive functions in purslane species P.oleracea and P.grandiflora with a metabolomics approach using the GC-MS method and to determine antioxidant levels using the DPPH method. Sampling and preparation of samples was carried out in Pajar Bulan Village, Kec. Tanjung Sakti PUMI. Furthermore, the sample was extracted using 96% methanol solvent. Then, it was analyzed using the GC-MS Trace™ 1310 ISQ method. Based on the GC-MS analysis, the metabolite profile results were obtained which were characterized by different types of compounds. The abundance of compounds in purslane species P.oleracea and P.grandiflora has a total abundance based on the relative area of each compound 100%. The dominant compound in Purslane P.oleracea is l-(+)-Ascorbic acid 2,6-dihexadecanoate. Whereas purslane species P.grandiflora, namely compounds Methanol, oxo-, benzoate. The dominant metabolite compound in both samples is the Phytol compound which belongs to the terpene class. There are 12 unique metabolites in purslane species P.oleracea and P.grandiflora. P.oleracea has a unique metabolite compound, namely Octadecanoic acid from omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linoleic acid); 9,12- Octadecadienoic acid, methyl ester of omega-6 fatty acid (linoleic acid) and in P.grandiflora species, namely compounds such as [1,1'-Bicyclopropyl]-2-octanoic acid, 2'-hexyl-, methyl ester from omega-6 fatty acids (linoleic acid); cis-13- Eicosenoic acid from oleic acid. The bioactive functions of the compounds that have been detected in purslane samples are antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anticancer, hepatoprotective, anti-exemic antihistamine, and anti-arthritis. Analysis of antioxidant levels of purslane species P.oleracea had antioxidant levels with a higher total value of 6.87 ppm, while P.grandiflora had antioxidant levels with a total value of 3.66 ppm. Differences in metabolite levels antioxidants in P. oleracea and P. grandiflora were affected by metabolites between P. oleracea an P. grandiflora, the difference is due there are species differences
