KOMPOSISI DAN KELIMPAHAN ZOOPLANKTON PADA MUSIM BARAT DI PERAIRAN PULAU MASPARI
Maspari island waters have a high level of dynamics, chiefly resulting in a mixture of freshwater masses from the southern Sumatra mainland and constant seawater, which affects the existence of zooplankton in the water. The purpose of the study is to analyze the composition, abundance, community structure, and the relationship between the abundance of zooplankton and the parameters of the environment. The study was conducted in February 2023 in the waters of Maspari Island with 10 observation stations. Sample data obtained in the study are zooplankton samples using a vertical method of plankton net, water samples, and measuring parameters of both physics and water chemistry. The done data analysis is the composition, abundance, community structure, and PCA analysis. Based on research, the composition of zooplankton found as many as 36 genera of 12 with a value abundance ranging from 42,463-148,974 ind/m3. Moderate value index of diversities, high levels of uniformity, and dominance in low categories. The connection between the abundance of zooplankton and the parameters of physics - chemical waters is most characterized by pH, temperature, and DO.
