ANALISIS KUALITAS AIR TAMBAK POLIKULTUR DI DESA GILIRANG KECAMATAN MUARA SUGIHAN KABUPATEN BANYUASIN PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Polyculture ponds (shrimp and milkfish) in Gilirang Village, Muara Sugihan District, have experienced a decline in pond yields from year to year. Pond water quality is thought to be one of the important factors in the successful productivity of polyculture ponds. Decreasing water quality will have an impact on cultivators who can experience stress and even death. The purpose of this study was to analyze the water quality of polyculture ponds based on physical and chemical parameters in the Polyculture Pond Waters of Gilirang Village, Muara Sugihan District. This research was conducted in November 2022 by measuring the parameters of temperature, brightness, water, pH, dissolve oxygen (DO), salinity, nitrate and phosphate in pond waters. The results showed that the water temperature ranged from 28.05-29.39 °C, the water brightness ranged from 21-42.5 cm, the DO value was 5.7 – 6.29 mg/L, the salinity value ranged from 8 -14 ‰, the pH value ranged from 6.5 to 7.7, nitrate concentrations ranged from 0.53 to 1.22 mg/L and phosphate concentrations ranged from 0.33 to 0.68 mg/L. Overall, pond water quality is still relatively good. However, nutrient concentrations (nitrate and phosphate) exceed the established quality standards, requiring intensive pond management.
