ANALISIS STABILITAS PERBANKAN DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2019-2021
This study aims to determine the effect of the level of competition, inflation, the BI 7 - day repo rate , the exchange rate, and the Covid-19 pandemic on banking stability (Z-Score) in Indonesia. The scope of this research includes six banks with the largest core capital in Indonesia, namely three state-owned enterprise banks (BRI, BNI, Mandiri) and three national private commercial banks (BCA, CIMB Niaga, Bank PANIN) with a period of 2019-2021 data. quarter. This study uses multiple linear regression method of panel data analysis with the Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The results of the study show that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant negative effect on banking stability in Indonesia. The inflation rate and the BI 7 days repo rate have a negative effect on banking stability in Indonesia. While the level of competition and exchange rates have a positive effect on banking stability in Indonesia. The results of the Z-Score calculation explain that the banking industry is still stable in the face of economic shocks. The results of this study also show that the competition in the banking industry is increasingly towards monopolistic competition markets.
