ANALISIS MASSA GAS PADA PROSES GASIFIKASI BATUBARA DAN SEKAM KAYU DENGAN VARIASI LAJU ALIRAN MASSA UDARA DAN UKURAN
Gasification is the process of converting fossil and non-fossil fuels (liquid, gas, or solid) into useful gases and chemical products. In the gasification process, the greater the air mass flow rate and particle size, the greater the (A/F) and ER values , and the smaller the air mass flow rate and particle size, the smaller the (A/F) and ER values. In this study, the actual gas mass obtained is much smaller than the calculated theoretical gas mass, this is due to the mass of gas lost during the research. The effect of variations in air mass flow rate and particle size also affects the amounst of gas mass. In all experiments carried out, the smallest actual (A/F) was 1.39 wood husk with an air mass flow rate of 10.72 kg/h and a mesh size of 7, then the largest actual (A/F) was 2.51 coal at a rate of air mass flow 19.30 kg/h and mesh size 6. From the experiments carried out the smallest ER was 0.11 coal with an air mass flow rate of 10.72 kg/h and a mesh size of 7, then for the largest ER, wood husk 0, 67 with an air mass flow rate of 19.30 kg/h and a mesh size of 6. In this study, the actual gas mass is significantly different from the theoretical gas mass. This is because most of the gas mass is lost.
