Mineral processing activities are activities to increase the value of minerals. One of the tools commonly used is the Sluice box by using the principle of differences in specific gravity. The applied variable becomes the benchmark for concentrate gain which is as expected. The level becomes the standard for the success of the processing carried out. Application of variable feeding time, tool slope and riffle height applied to the separation of iron sand with impurities to obtain the amount of Fe according to the criteria of SNI - 03 - 2847 – 2002 for the concrete industry. Initially, the average level of Fe before processing was 21% of the total sample weight of 1000 grams. Various results are produced after processing using predetermined variables. Based on 27 experiments with different variables, only a few experiments found that the Fe content almost met the SNI target to meet the needs of the concrete industry, only in experiments with a feeding time of 1.5 minutes, a slope of 6o and a riffle height of 4mm which almost met the SNI for Fe content for In the concrete industry, the process of separating metallic minerals from non-metallic minerals will be carried out using a sluice box which can increase Fe content by 80% as a standard in the concrete manufacturing process. These calculations were obtained after performing microscopic analysis with the Grain Counting Analysis or GCA method.
