PERBANDINGAN METODE KONDUKTOMETRI DAN SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-Vis TERHADAP ANALISIS ION LOGAM BESI (III) PADA AIR SUNGAI MUSI
Human activities such as industrial, agricultural, and household activities around the Musi river can cause contamination of heavy metals into the Musi river body. Iron is a type of heavy metal that can pollute the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to test the iron content in Musi River water as an effort to prevent water pollution. This research aims to compare the conductometric and spectrophotometric UV-Vis methods to the analysis of iron (III) metal ions in Musi river water. The validation results of the conductometric method obtained linearity and sensitivity values of 0.9965 and 0.1907 mg/L, detection limit and quantization limit obtained 0.172 mg/L and 0.260 mg/L, precision and accuracy of 2% and 96.48%. The results of the verification of the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method obtained linearity and sensitivity values of 0.9989 and 0.0322 mg/l, limit of detection and quantization limit of 0.096 mg/L and 0.205 mg/L, precision and accuracy of 4% and 94.4%. The metal ion level of iron (III) in Musi river water by using conductometric and has shown 1.49 mg/L and 2.07 mg/L as the result. The results of the analysis of ferrous (III) metal ions from the two methods were tested using t-test in the SPSS application. The t-test results show the tcount value of 2.35, which is smaller than the ttable value of 2.78 at 95% of confidence level. From the results that have been found, it can be stated that the two methods have no statistically significant difference, so the analysis of ferrous (III) metal ions can be carried out using both methods with an estimated uncertainty measurement conductometric of 1.49 + 0.09 mg/L and spectrophotometry UV-Vis 2.07 + 0.06 mg/L.
