PERBANDINGAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI VISIBLE DAN POTENSIOMETRI TERHADAP ANALISIS LOGAM BESI PADA AIR SUNGAI LEMATANG
This research compares the methods of iron metal analysis Fe2+ ions using visible spectroscopy and concentration cell potentiometry. The visible spectroscopy method needs to be verified, and the potentiometry method needs to be validated based on ISO 17025:2017, with parameters of linearity, sensitivity, detection limit, quantification limit, accuracy, precision, and measurement uncertainty. The analysis of iron metal using visible spectroscopy is carried out by reducing Fe3+ to Fe2+ and then complexing it with o phenanthroline to form the iron (II) phenanthroline complex. The analysis of iron metal using potentiometry is based on concentration cell, by measuring the potential of Fe3+ solution that has been reduced to Fe2+. Both methods are then applied to measure the iron metal in the Lematang River water. The results of the standard series measurement produced a calibration curve with a linear equation for visible spectrophotometry y = 0.02526x + 0.00004, and for potentiometry concentration cell y = 1.012x+1.122 with R2 values of 0.9986 and 0.9985. The sensitivity values are 0.02526 and 1.012, the detection limits are 0.1916 mg/L and 0.2425 mg/L, and the quantification limits are 0.4774 mg/L and 0.2747 mg/L. The precision values are 4.11% and 7.93%, while the accuracy values are 95.012% and 80.8%. The measurement uncertainty values are ± 0.044 mg/L and ± 0.787 mg/L. The Fe sample in the Lematang River water is (0.894 ± 0.044) mg/L and (1.066 ± 0.787) mg/L. The t-test value of 1.253 and the t-table value of 2.78 (α = 95%) indicate that both methods are not significantly different in analyzing Fe2+ ions.
