This study aims to determine differences in the financial performance of banking companies in the IDX30 Index before and during COVID-19 in Indonesia. The population in this study are all companies that are members of the IDX30 Index for the first quarter of January 2019 – the first quarter of January 2021. This study uses the event study method and the RGEC ratio to test the company's financial performance. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Hypotheses were tested with Paired Sample T-Test for data with normal distribution and Paired Sample Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test for data with abnormal distribution. The results of the hypothesis test show that the Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governances, and Earnings ratios give the results that these ratios have significant differences while the Capital ratios give the results that these ratios have insignificant differences on financial performance before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The implications of this research for investors should be able to consider aspects of investing by looking at aspects that have an influence on firm value such as the disclosure of variables in the RGEC financial ratios carried out by the company.
