Bad loans are loans that have difficulty in repayment due to intentional factors or conditions beyond the ability of the debtor. This type of research is a case study that uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Methods of data collection by conducting questionnaires and documentation. The sample used in this study found 50 respondents who are also members of the Business Development Savings and Loan Cooperative in Empat Lawang Regency, South Sumatra Province. The sampling technique used was the convenience technique. The results of the study indicate that the factors that affect bad loans in the Business Development Savings and Loan Cooperative in Empat Lawang Regency, South Sumatra Province are due to factors such as the occurrence of the covid-19 pandemic, business constraints, members' busyness in doing business, etc.
