This study aims to determine the buying and selling information system for UMKM Bintang Plush Store 2 Jambi and to design a buying and selling accounting information system using Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 which can be implemented for UMKM Bintang Plush Store 2 Jambi. The object of this research is the Purchase and Sales Accounting Information System for UMKM Bintang Plush Store 2 Jambi. This research is research and development. This study uses primary and secondary data sources. This research uses system development analysis techniques System Development Life Cycles (SDLC) with the Waterfall method. The database used is a MySQL database. The results of this study indicate that the buying and selling information system for UMKM Bintang Plush Store 2 Jambi is not yet sufficiently capable of presenting the required information such as reports, so a special accounting information system design is needed for the buying and selling department using the Visual FoxPro 9.0 application, with the hope that information can be presented in a timely, quality and more detailed manner that is able to help UMKM Bintang Plush Store 2 Jambi owners in processing sales and purchasing data so that it is better in presenting structured information and reporting that will make it easier for shop owners to make more efficient decisions and can improve future sales of clothing.
