MODEL BENDERS DECOMPOSITION BI-OBJECTIVE PADA PENYELESAIAN SET COVERING PROBLEM PENENTUAN LOKASI TEMPAT PENAMPUNGAN SEMENTARA SAMPAH DI KECAMATAN BUKIT KECIL KOTA PALEMBANG
Waste is a problem in people’s lives in urban or residential areas. The waste volume continues to increase along with the increased population and can decrease the living quality. One of the plans to solve the waste problem is to provide a Temporary Waste Disposal Site (TPS). This research optimizes the location of the TPS in Bukit Kecil District, which consists of 5 Sub-districts. The problem is solved by formulating the Set Covering Problem (SCP) model, Set Covering Location Problem (SCLP), and p-Center Location Problem, also the Benders Decomposition Bi-Objective model. Bukit Kecil District has 36 TPS spread across 5 villages in the district. Based on the formulation of the SCLP model, 7 optimal TPS were obtained, and in the p-Center Location Problem, 5 optimal TPS were obtained in Bukit Kecil District, Palembang City. Meanwhile, the Benders Decomposition Bi-Objective model produced 36 optimal TPS locations in Bukit Kecil District, Palembang City. Based on the results obtained, this study recommends the Benders Decomposition Bi-Objective model in determining the optimal location of TPS because the solution of the Benders Decomposition Bi-Objective model can meet all demand points in Bukit Kecil District.
