INDUKSI KALUS RUMPUT LAUT KAPPAPHYCUS ALVAREZII MELALUI TEKNIK KULTUR JARINGAN DENGAN PENAMBAHAN ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH YANG BERBEDA
K. alvarezii is a marine product commodity that has high economic value. The aim of this study was to perform tissue culture on K. alvarezii. The research method was carried out experimentally and descriptively. The callus induction process used concentrations of growth regulators (A) BAP (6-benzylaminopurine) 0.5 ml + IAA (Indole-3-acetic acid) 1.25 ml, (B) Kinetin 0.01 ml + 2.4 D 2 ,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid ) 0.015 ml, (C) Non ZPT (control). The results of this study obtained the best concentration combination in treatment (A) BAP 0.5 ml + IAA 1.25 ml with a callus formation percentage of 66.67%. The callus structure that is formed is crystalline and white in color which is thought to be a filamentous callus (filamentous callus) with the characteristics of the filaments arranged in a row or not arranged in branches (uniseriate) and pigmented.
