This study aims to determine how the overlay analysis as well as the basis and non-base sectors in the leading economic sector in the Regency / City in the Province of Yogyakarta. The analytical method used is Overlay Analysis, LQ and Growth Ratio Model The results of this study on overlay analysts show that sectors that have growth and potential contributions are agriculture, forestry and fisheries; transportation and warehousing; financial and insurance services; and health services and social activities. These sectors are included in the potential sector. The sector that has a dominant growth and no potential contribution is the corporate services sector. And sectors that have no potential growth but whose contribution has the potential are the water supply, waste treatment, waste and recycling sectors; wholesale and retail trade; repair of cars and motorcycles; provision of accommodation and food and drink; education services; as well as other services. And sectors that have growth and contribution that are still lacking or have no potential are the mining and quarrying sector; processing industry; procurement of electricity and gas; construction; information and communication; real estate; and government administration, defense and mandatory social security.
