STUDI KOMPARATIF INDONESIA DAN MALAYSIA: DAMPAK COVID – 19 DALAM TRANSMISI KEBIJAKAN MONETER KE PASAR KEUANGAN.
ABSTRACT Comparative Study of Indonesia and Malaysia: The Impact of Covid-19 on the Transmission of Monetary Policy to Financial Markets By: Achmad Trisno Jati; Taufiq Marwa; Sri Andaiyani This study analyzes the Impact of Covid-19 in the Transmission of Monetary Policy to Financial Markets in Indonesia and Malaysia by using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), the data used in this study is the time series in March 2020 – May 2022. The results show that in Indonesia in the long and short term Covid-19 has a significant negative impact on the Stock Market in Indonesia. Similarly, Malaysia in the long term Covid-19 has a significant negative impact. Monetary policy on the stock market in Indonesia has a significant effect on this, as is the case with Malaysia. Covid-19 also has a significant negative effect on the Indonesian Forex Market in the long and short term on lag-2. Meanwhile, in Malaysia, Covid-19 only has a significant long-term impact. In this study, monetary policy during the pandemic did not significantly affect the forex market in Indonesia, while monetary policy in Malaysia had a significant effect on the foreign exchange market in Malaysia..
