EFEK PEMBERIAN SNACK BAR EKSTRAK DAUN PEGAGAN (Centella asiatica L.) KOMBINASI DAUN GAMBIR (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) TERHADAP FUNGSI KOGNITIF PADA TIKUS PUTIH
Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica L.) and gambier (Uncaria gambir Roxb.) is a plant that is believed to have many benefits. The high antioxidant content, especially flavonoids, triterpenoids, polyphenols, saponins from gotu kola and gambier leaves are believed to improve memory. This study aims to determine the levels of flavonoids, levels of proximate snack bar characteristics , and to determine the error score on the effect of giving several treatment groups to improve memory by using the Eight Arm RAM. The test animals used were male wistar rats aged 2-4 months. The test animals were divided into 5 groups consisting of the normal group given aquadest, the positive group was given pyracetam 500 mg/kgBW, the treatment group I was given gotu kola simplicia 300 mg/kgBW a combination of gambier leaves simplicia 200 mg/kgBW, the second treatment group was given 300 mg gotu kola extract/kgBW combination of gambier leaves extract 200 mg/kgBW, and treatment group III was given a snack bar. The total flavonoid content in the gotu kola extract and gambier leaf were 32.58 mgQE/g and 19,88 mgQE/g, respectively. The proximate characteristics of the snack bar obtained water content of 8,42%, ash content of 1,43%, protein content of 7,64%, fat content of 20,44%, carbohydrate content of 62,05%, and calorie content of 250,13%. The result of the error scores obtaines were analyzed with One Way Anova and continued with Duncan’s test. Measurement of memory activity in the pre test and post test showed a significant difference in each treatment (P>0,05).
