MODEL REGRESI DATA PANEL PADA FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PRODUKSI KELAPA SAWIT DI WILAYAH SUMATERA DAN KEPULAUAN SEKITARNYA TAHUN 2014-2021
Palm oil is one of the commodities that plays an important role in Indonesian plantations. Indonesia occupies the first position as the largest palm oil producer in the world. The purpose of this study is to obtain a panel data regression model on factors affecting oil palm production in Sumatra and surrounding islands in 2014-2021 and select the best regression model. The data used id secondary data obtained from the Directorate General of Plantations of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture. The estimation of panel data regression models are carried out with three models, namely the Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and Random Effect Model (REM). The selection of the best model was carried out using three tests, namely the Chow test, the Hausman test, and the Lagrange Multiplier test. The best model chosen is FEM with individual effects. The results of FEM estimates show that change in land area of TBM (X1), land aera of TM (X2), and the number of farmers (X4) have significant effects on oil palm production in Sumatra and surrounding islands. The FEM model is able to explain the total palm oil production of 99,3%.
