Hospital is a comprehensive health service institution that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services with medical personnel facilities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the hospital's wastewater treatment system. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with 3 informants (1 head of WWTP and 2 staff). Information obtained from in-depth interviews, field observations, and laboratory tests for effluent quality analysis. Validity is done by triangulation of sources, methods, and data. The results show that the source of hospital liquid waste comes from domestic and infectious waste. Hospital wastewater is carried out in a 3 stage process (primary treatment, secondary treatment, and tertiary treatment). Based on the results of the effluent test, the COD parameter with a value of 104 mg/L did not meet the quality standard for hospital wastewater. There are still wastewater treatment staff who have not attended training related to WWTP. It is recommended to increase the ability of expert staff in the field of WWTP and other alternatives to overcome the indications of an increase in COD in wastewater can be done by adding aeration to the wastewater treatment pond to improve water quality in the pond and maximize the results of wastewater treatment so that wastewater is safe to flow into the environment.
