ANALISIS KUALITAS AIR SUNGAI BERDASARKAN KADAR Fe DAN KELUHAN KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT DI WILAYAH SEBERANG ULU I PALEMBANG
The Musi River is currently included in the category of heavily polluted rivers. Based on the Monitoring of the South Sumatera Province Environment and Defense Office in 2020 it is projected to reach 50 percent. in the Musi River in the city of Palembang is iron (Fe). Metal Iron (Fe) is a metal whose presence in certain amounts needed by living things but in excessive amounts can cause toxic effects. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of river water based on Fe levels and health complaints in the opposite ulu 1 sub-district of Palembang city. This study used a quantitative method with an analytical approach with a cross-sectional study design to determine the relationship between water quality and health complaints in the community in Seberang Ulu 1 District, Palembang City. The number of samples is 48 respondents taken by purposive sampling method. Water samples were taken from 6 points of water sources used by the community. Data collection was carried out by interviewing questionnaires, measurements using the AAS method, pH meters, DO meters and multi parameters. Data data were analyzed with the Chi-square test. Data obtained by analysis with the chi-square test. The proportion of respondents with health complaints was 41.7%. Variables related to complaints are iron (Fe), water pH, frequency of water use. For people who still use river water for their daily needs, it is advisable to always process and precipitate it first and make a simple water filter to minimize health complaints.
