PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN KARET REMAH (CRUMB RUBBER) YANG MENGALAMI PERLAKUAN PEMANASAN TERHADAP KUAT TARIK LENTUR BETON
The use of crumb rubber as a substitute material for some natural aggregates in concrete is intended to produce rubberized concrete which can reduce the environmental impact due to the increasing accumulation of used tire waste. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the use of crumb rubber as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in concrete that has previously undergone heat treatment. In this study using a variation of the use of crumb rubber (crumb rubber) 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of the volume of fine aggregate. The test objects in this study were in the form of blocks with dimensions of 15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm. The flexural tensile strength test was carried out at the age of 28 days and crumb rubber was given a heating treatment at 150̊ C for 1 hour. The results showed that the addition of crumb rubber using the heating treatment method with a predetermined ratio as a substitute for fine aggregate increased the flexural tensile strength of concrete by 31%, 4% and 2%. However, the higher the percentage, the flexural tensile strength decreases.
