POLA SEBARAN MUATAN PADATAN TERSUSPENSI (MPT) MENGGUNAKAN DATA CITRA SENTINEL-2A DI SUNGAI LUMPUR, OGAN KOMERING ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
Total Suspended Solids (TSS) have a significant role in determining water quality. Remote sensing is considered efficent method determine the TSS concentration value in the waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the convenient algorithm for TSS analysis in Lumpur River, to test the accuracy of Sentinel-2A imagery for determining TSS concentrations in Lumpur River using the Laili algorithm (2015) and Liu et al (2017), and analyze the pattern of concentration distribution of TSS through the integration of field data with Sentinel-2A image data for 2021 and discover the distribution of suspended solids in each season on 2021 – 2022 in Lumpur River. This research was held in July – December 2022. The results of this study show that the pattern of distribution TSS concentrations between in-situ data and image data for 2021 shows almost the same results, with in-situ values ranging from 7,91 – 70,25 mg/L and image data 8,5 – 70,88 mg/L. The average concentration in the dry season, transition II, rain, and transition I in 2021 – 2022 is 28.95 – 187.23 mg/L. Based on the validation test and accuracy test, it shows that the Liu et al (2017) algorithm of the order 2 regression equation (y = 0,0002x2 + 0,9698x + 0,0977) is more suitable with the R2 value of 0,997 and the lowest RMSE value of 0,596. This means the lower the RMSE value indicates the better fit between variables.
